Okay, we exclude our local fave, (Jaeger) but like all of us we hope he kicks arse.
Who is your sure bet to win the title and your long shot for the title.
All events see a double elimination in good to great conditions.
My pick:
sure bet : Marcillio brown
Long shot : Riccardo Campbello

Seriously...Koster is back. If it's not him it'll be Victor.

I reckon Jigger is in with a shot at the title! He's got awesome style and a pretty balanced approach.
Other than that I think Marcillio

If thats true re Jaeger - thats hard news ...

I was thinking only this morning of how hard these guys have to push to get that extra 1% and shot at the title ... and Stone came to mind , that jumping injury he had a few years ago etc , the million Double flat landings of Kosters that may have contributed to his aerial knee injury etc etc ... and generally how hard training double forwards are on the body etc ... Is it really worth it ? ... to go hard out for a wave title , and risk hobbling around in 10 years time talking about how you used to windsurf ...? IMO these guys should be thinking that they might want to enjoy this sport for the next 30 years .... and thinking longer term ...

I think its about time we had a 'waveriding' world champion , and a jumping world champion ... separate entities ... they are so different , maybe make a couple of jumping contest , pozo , guincho , and a couple of waveriding contests maui , One eye?Somewhere else port tack ... and have an overall champion title ...

Musso is way way overdue for a title - rips hard BOTH tacks ...

Those were the days, when a 6 foot back loop, both hands securely on the boom, both feet firmly in the straps, head above your shoulders, not staring at your fins upside down would win you the contest, the girl and a super dooper contract with the latest sail brand.

I cant win, I'm a fictional character..

Jaeger is looking to kill everyone on wave scores this year, so hope he gets waves to take out the trick ferrets.

Koster looks to be shaping up for a good one if his leg holds up.

Marcillio should win over Victor with extra points for style, Victor just sails like a robot.

Likely: Marcilio, Koster or Jaeger. Extreme Longshot: Josh Adams or Rohan Cudmore.

" victor sails like a robot" !!! R u kidding me ... so when he's hitting more vert with more speed than everyone in side-on in marginal airs , and launching tweaked airs in side-on when no ones even done an air all day ... thats robotic !? or combo'ing waves with moves .... Listening to the way other Pro's talk about Victor's sailing (swifty braw etc) - he has top top level respect ... I wouldn't be surprised actually if he was the 1st guy to actually land a triple ... Just because he is flawless in contest mode and has amazing consistancy , does that make him robotic ? maybe in a terminator way ... IMO ... anyone these days who has a mojo over Koster is to be respected ! ... no one flusters Koster like Victor ...

It would be great to see Jaeger win this year but of the Euros it would be great to see Thomas Traversa in the top three. Maybe he needs a Gath.

my moneys on king of the point
he just needs a good sponsor like VB
hes a long shot but hes a competitive bugger and an old school hellman from the 80s
with some of the sponsors product on board i'd back him in against anyone.

Even tail slides can get robotic ... when its every turn ... !

still think no one can touch Brawzo's turns on starboard ... huge tail reverses , bodyweight in surfer position ... (ie not looking like a legs gangly tail slide)

PC - So perfect planing doubles some stalled when even top 5 guys are struggling to do them on 5.3 ... not style ... come on ... oh , and forgot to mention - can rip it on starboard ALSO and look like a maui regular .. 360's that side etc ...

If you can do every trick, then you are better than everyone... which means you get to *define* what is style.
