and who was it saying the PWA tour sucks... the GFC might have reduced the number of events but the quality just gets better

It was alway going to take some time for the next generation windsurfers to burst on to the seen.

But it is now a happening thing with all the equipment and new moves at a touch of a button.

The use of cameras /footage has and will take it ,to a new level into the future attracting more $$$$$$$ and sponsership.

Great effort

Here is Philip's winning heat. Not bad for a 15 year old... will be interesting to see what he is like in 5 or 6 years. Not many 15 year olds that can do a push loop into forward (@ 1:55):

I think it's great to see what they can do in mushy surf.

Not being a wave sailor myself, I get a bit bored watching perfect glassy-mast-high-cross-off-down-the-line-bottom-turn-smack-the-lip.

Not being a freestyler either, I can get a bit bored too watching spock-vulcan-star-trek-character-loop-spins too.

However, I'm really interested in where the two are meeting out in the surf though. Cool!

The kid is amazing, his moves look so smooth and effortless considering they were on 3.5m sails.... That move at 1.20 looks like a flaka on the breaking wave face...

I'm sure in the next few years Philip Koster will push the limits and skill of jumping like what Ricardo did with freestyle.
