I'm trying to nail the gybe on the wave face and find myself in the top of wave all the time, Buried into the wave instead of riding back down the face.
Any tips on this one??

Turn down the face so you are going super fast and the wind is neutral. Lots of mast foot pressure. Lean mast forward. Bend knees. Then just let the sail pivot

I should explain a little more Yuppie. Heading out from the beach a nice wave shows itself. Instead of missing it to go out back, I go straight at it and push for a 180 turn to ride it back in. I thought what Stehgler said might be the case go earlier. MFP is a good idea however yuppie. I haven't thought of that when trying to get it right. Might be to much on the back foot attempting to spin the kit.

this is much the same as timing a turn when riding the wave. Remember that the water will travel over the back of the wave, so you end higher on the wave than you intend. so like an earlier post said. turn earlier.
