Hi dean,
Flatrock is near Lennox head and ballina. It's great in both north east and southerly. Book you accommodation at flatrock tent park and tell them your there for the Wavesailing State of Origin.
Cheers
that's to far to drive , can someone give me a lift . ive only got two boards ,three sails , three kites , two kiteboards , two sups , and accessories .
Awesome spot to camp where you can leave gear rigged outside your tent. I think it took me about 8 hours from Sydney. I left early and sailed a fun southerly at flat rock by early afternoon
Last year the break was offering some of the best SUP I had in 2013
Plenty of space siny, got room for goat boats, roller skates, body boards but won't be able to fit in the kites... Haha
Thanks Whyner, not quite up to standard for wave comp as yet, but spot looks fantastic.
The new format is for every level, even if your new to the waves. It is run using an expression session for the whole day, with a "super session" final for the top few if the conditions are suitable.
NSW wavesailing's whole mission statement is to help increase the participation of wavesailing. It's a long way to drive but make a short holiday out it. The location for wavesailing can be world class plus the beautiful food/excellent surfing options make for a great get away.
I'll post more details regarding the event over the next week.
