was a great fun week
did'nt quite get the conditions we had hoped for. I think the gnarly hot weather in Vic may have screwed up the seabreeze pattern down in tassie as it wasnt its normal cranking self!

was a really good group down there and a really well run event

got most of the heats run on the final day, Sunday. Pretty light cross shore at Greens beach.

I am pretty sure the results were:

Terry North won the masters
Must have been Olley in the grand masters?
Lisa won the womens

Opens was:
1st Dan Berry
2nd Kaleb Smith (f**k you kaleb!!!!)
3rd was myself

Man that last heat between me and Kaleb was so hard the wind had dropped out and I really struggled in the light winds! thought I was going to have to swim in through the break for a while there!!! Kaleb sailed really well there so he deserved it. Next year Kaleb next year!

Juniors was only Al Mcleod who sailed in the opens instead and did well, your really sailing sick Al, well done dude.

Dan sailed sick as usual well done mate.
better start getting orgainzed for a national up your way next hey??

Good work John another great event and bad luck with the ribs hey
next year maybe stay indoors for a few months leading up to the nats???
You were still ripping though bad luck there

rock on 2010[}:)]

haha thanks joel.
it was fun, everything was organised well so we were just let down by light winds/small swell. typically though the conditions came a day after with light cross off and good sized swell at greens with a couple of big sets down the beach getting close to mast.
keen to see how all the photos turned out!

same as last year. The boys did a real good job running the comp in what was a really difficult weather pattern. As usual everything came good on the final day and they managed to get thru a full double again.
Big thanks to Neil pryde for sponsoring the event, and hudson, dave, stewie martin, Matt Tobin, and John Pott for breaking a rib, I mean puttining the event on. You guys did a great job under trying circumstances.

Here are a couple of shots that were taken during the comp. Nothing extra special in these pic's but it gives an idea of the conditions. It wasnt quite as big and gnaraly as we were all hoping for but that's the luck of competitions. If anyone is thinking of going to tassie i can definitely rate it as a pretty awesome place to go.

The event was run really well by everyone involved too.
