Awesome conditions, it makes you think..what if...what if wavesailing had been able to sustain regular contests in epic locations.
Surfing certainly went from strength to strength on a diet of well located contests but they did have massive support from the big clothing companies.
Don't think it would have made a huge difference at most local beaches but there would have been a lot more wealthy wavesailors with bling 4wds and property portfolios.
