Had to share this vid by local sailor Chris smashing a few lines down Pungarehu this winter. Had some good conditions lately, all while muggins here has had the flu of course

Sweeeeeeet vid - nice sailing - whats the best time of year to visit - is October any good?.

Green with envy - we could do with some of that over here in SA

Yeh Russh October can be good and should deliver some SE. If you're looking at October you should come over for the Taranaki Wave Classic which is run over labour weekend. NZ biggest windsurf event that turned 30 last year - It's a social/fun oriented event, all levels free for all expression session, free beer/food/T with entry and spot prizes...including a new board :)

Last year went off conditions wise (either side of the comp so it was nice and quiet on the water ha!) but everyone still had great fun:

Cheers - hopefully next year. We have an conference thats due for a NZ stopover in october 2015 - have to make sure we take a week or two either side
