The first NSW State Titles event has rapped up successfully.

The forecast was not the best but the Gerroa area again proved to be a wind funnel giving competitors 4 days of windsurfing. The conditions were far from perfect (1 weekend off!) but they were fun and contestable with results in all divisions.

Gerroa was the venue on the first day with waist high sets and 15kts. 2nd day was at Werri beach again providing waist high sets and 15kts. Day three was again at Werri with an unusual north north west wind providing excellent cross off conditions. Unfortunately it was short lived and only a few heats were able to run but it was a memorable short session for everyone that sampled it. The final day was the best of the forecast but the wind didn't eventuate with only a few getting out to sample the head high plus perfect waves.

Saturday night was the party and prize giving night with most people going away with some great prizes. Zack Coleman was the lucky recipient of the hot sails sail and a big thank you to all the amazing sponsors, Hot sails, wind surfN snow, Severne, Ion, K4 fins and natural necessity.

The winners were;

Juniors
1st Alex Halank
2nd Zack Coleman
3rd Jake Juretic

Ladies
1st Jessica Crisp
2nd Jannkke Stalstrom
3rd Jesse Holder

Masters
1st Warren Holder
2nd Steve Robinson
3rd Rob Graham

Open
1st Brien Cummings
2nd Forrest Ladkin
3rd Josh Fletcher

Congratulations to the place getters, all divisions were hotly contested with the opens final needing to be re run due to a draw even on count back!

The next event is the social teams event with a new date due to a clash with the nationals. Now on 22nd/23rd of march. The Agm will be held on the Saturday afternoon.

See you all there,
George

That was a really cool event guys! Glad I came down; had a blast. Definitely a different vibe to the slalom/formula events (in a good way!!).

Now I've done my first wave event I feel like I'm qualified to get on this wave forum and slag where necessary etc etc... yayyyyyy!
