Wasted southerlies in South West Rocks are killing me. Anywhere half good for a southerly between Sawtell and Middle Rock south of Port??

Bucca breakwall? Sailed there in NE, it was great in the river but terrible getting out.
Also Valla, I think south Valla but haven't sailed there in a southerly.

the north side of the breakwall at port macquarie is awesome in a southerly cross shore and so much stronger than middle rock , we sailed there for years up until we started speed sailing and got soft , race course near plumber is cross offshore for wave riding and really nice .

^^ race course does look like a good spot , how's delicate knobby ?
Looks like a 50min drive from SWR but I'd do it for a fix for sure

Awesome!! Heaps to try there. Thank you all so much!!

Any interesting NE spots in the same area aside from the gaol? Sawtell to Middle Rock?

Just had 7 days sailing in a row here. I've never seen it like this. The Christmas SWR thought it was WA lol

Wenonah has huge potential , only surf'd it twice but nice smooth water for a N/Easter. low tide
Pretty much point to smokey cape , gybe and come back. Nice jumps to be had
Both times I sailed was in a decent south swell and was closing out so the wave riding side of it was a no go , but I'm invisioning a great spot for north swell direction.
Surely someone else has been their to further educate the rest of us ?
If you have 4wd you can park right at the spot tucked in around the headland to avoid sandblasting

Watonga Rock on LightHouse Beach Port Mac. NE is slightly cross-off. Only want small swell though as anything over 3-4ft (real 3-4ft) is shorebreak city and nasty on the sandbank......then it is time to go to M.Rock. Under 3 ft is fun. Used to be the go to spot 15 years ago if we didnt have time to drive to MRock. Rigging is an arse pain as you rig well off the beach and carry your gear a long way down the beach. A real bastard if you misjudge the wind and rig too big or small because it is a long walk back in soft sand.

Delicate Nobby is really good for both NE and Southerlies.
Mostly on the south side of the rocky outcrop.
Possible and cleaner on the northside with southerlies if too big on the south side but really gusty

Southerlies
