Just for you TAA..........
Rolled in on the Friday at 1pm day before the comp / Swell was on the up and up and the wind was solid 18 to 25 Southerly sw
The early arvo afternoon was pretty dam exiting with solid mast plus sets ,there was a lot of activity on the water.
Despite this there were heaps of waves to go round with plenty of wild building swell sets
I was on a 5.0 fully lit larger board but with persistence you found glassy sections
Ps he got in ok
Comp morning the wind was easterly and things were looking to good to be true / you could smell the bush fire smoke
The swell was clean solid and consistent , it pretty well stayed Glassy all morning before the smoke haze filtered in again as a light SE breeze trickled in conditions by 12pm were cross off just 10 to 15 gusting 18 perfection ................ with glassy mast high consistent sets.......I Used 5.5
By 3 it was 18 to 23knots for the open and elite to rip it up till dark

"media rep" Langy....yes public relations is your natural calling Gangster. Next step - politics :)
I gotta say you're right though pwb. Even when WWA did post results, it's only first names on the sheets - now Ben, Paul, Andrew etc are fairly common names and even in the shrinking world of WA wavesailing, there might be more than one possibility of each.
Tough crowd
Given the event was organised by volunteers in their spare time around work, family and actually getting on the water to sail you should be thankful any results were posted. If you would like me to PM the result sheets and entry list complete with full names so that you can update the sheets just let me know. Your assistance would be invaluable.
That's sick big fella.
Have to get over there soon....
Thanks for putting all the photos up
Well done in the masters langy

All good. I wasn't that interested, just observed that it might be frustrating for those who were.
I'm actually happy with the 1st names only - was stoked to get a seeded spot in the elite's without even showing up. No wonder I didn't get through the round though.
Perhaps a little less time spent playing the tiny violin would free some up for writing last names next year ![]()
Laugh out loud .......... even if you turned up and sailed boat ramps and enjoyed a weekend windurfing and or participated in being involved,(there were many tar)
There was something for every wave sailor past or present ,the social event was a fantastic night and just like any sport Champions come and go but there will always be couch sitters who um and r and rrrrrrrrrrrrrr after the event , how many links do you want
Ps nothing dead or dying with waves sailing i saw ..........
Ps WWA presented a winners cup / trophy for the Elite winner whos name will go on it ......into the future ,it was full of beer and enjoyed by many

Damn the standard looks super high...I almost can't imagine an east coast sailor standing much chance against the West Australians who have sailed the break a lot. Thanks for the photos.
