Hi all, just a quick summary.
Merimbula blew light on Thursday then honked through Friday.
Most sailed tathra on Friday in gusty 15-30kts with head high plus waves. Big jumps and some difficult smacks but it was the highlight of the weekend. Until a thunderstorm killed the wind wind mid afternoon.
Then later Friday afternoon the wind came back and the tide dropped and the majority sailed off ford oval for cross off conditions in knee to waist high waves getting some pretty good conditions.
The rest of the weekend was stand up and surfing with a dodgy southerly tempting us but not eventuating on Sunday.
Overall a great weekend catching up and surfing, sailing with everyone, the Carona bar was a hit each arvo.
Thanks to John and the rest of the merimbula crew for another successful event.
