Order an small sheet of G10 from www.gmsindustrial.com.au/products/composites/

then shape your own and box them up.

If you making your own board, why not make your own fins??

also check out for some sneeky fin making ideas

Nice one Bertie.

Mark I found these at Auswind going for a song but might need some tweaking..foils a bit ordinary

The blue one is symmetrical and 110 is smallest. Sizes are on the others

Ask Damo

Bertie, been there done that it is a pain in the arse with all the glass fibres from shaping.
Also don't have the time with other projects.
Rather just find secondhand set and mould up boxes to insert into the board.

Especially as the board may remain a twin anyway

M.O.B - not thought about kite fins but yeah I reckon the foil would be rather different

Yeah not bad but I am unsure if I will run the board as twin or quad, so really just want a real cheap pair of unwanted side fins to test before I commit to a couple of set of new ones.

Like somebody's well used/ unwanted factory ones they upgraded etc

JH you'd have 20 or so sets in the shed?

^^^Mine are all US box sorry....But yes I probably have about 20. I did a thruster mod to my FSW and used FCS but by the time I found a nice thin set of fins it cost me more then proper windsurfing fins. The surf board ones are just too thick, I ended up with a quad set out of a surf board that were nice but they cost me.

Slot box fins and US have the same base, you just have to cut the tabs off and knock the pins out.

Those kite fin bases are way to small and taped so there out, unless you want to mold new bases on them.

Hi Mark,

If a set of 85mm slot box front fins work for ya, then you can have these FO prototypes.

Cheers,
Marco

Hey Mark,

If you go to my work between 10 & 3 tomorrow you can grab them. Just ask the boys in Airborne to grab them off my desk.

Cheers,
Marco
