Dear Aussies!

I am going to live in Melbourne next week after 3 months of Chili (go there if you have the time/ money!). Besides working in the Alfred hospital I would like to do some windsurfing. Preferably wave!

I do not have a car yet, but think about buying one after the second's months pay somewhere in March.

Where do you guys go? And is it possible to travel there by bus?
And does anybody know an affordable place to stay near Elwood/ St Kilda?

Hoping for a bit of guidance!!

Thanks,

Aernout

Try posting in the vic forum. Elwood is quite expensive but you may be able to get a small place close to the beach... further south gets cheaper

If you're living in Melbourne and want to wave sail prepare to travel.
East or west but the bay will be limited to waves only in big storms

Thanks for all the good help! Looking even more forward to go. Probably doing some more Kiteboarding at the bay. And try to go to the ocean in weekends.

Thanks,

Aernout
