last time i passed through there it was almost dead off shore and we didn't bother trying, but looks like such a fun spot with windsurfer friendly waves 
whyner - are you are using a redline carbon boom? does yours make clicking sounds whenever you put a lot of pressure on it? i've lubed up every part on the head clamp and arm clips, but it still does it.
How do you like your tri-wave?
Redline feels great but does have some creaks. I've ignored them now and I don't even notice them anymore.
As for the board, it's goes off. I was fortunate enough to have both the fanatic and JP thrusters to demo. Both brands were really good and possibly JP was marginally better in cross on, planed faster but the Fanatic triwave for my style is perfect. Similar feel to a single fin.

I'm noting the hand placement for the bottom turn and its good to see you 'drawing the arrow'. That's getting the back hand right down and then sliding it up for the top turn. Too many people are too stiff and don't move their hands.

Thanks for watching the vid. The tri wave goes off!!! Comes off the bottom hard like a single fin but released the tail off the top similar to a quad.
Very impressed!!! Got the 88litre coming.
Will still be using my single fin though when the waves are serious.

I went there around 3 and it was super fat and not worth riding.

It's the 88l. I had it as a demo that was my second time on it. Best board I've ever riden!

Bigdaz my view on this year's fanatic range is they are all good or better.
Some are excellent, the 82, 89 and 101 quad's fall into this category.
The 88 Tri for me is without doubt the best board I've ever ridden and it's not even by a little bit.
Having said that I'd be confident either Brett, Forrest or Tim Knowles might like the quads listed better than the 88 Tri as it's all about the way you wave ride.
For me the 95 Tri is a good board however unless you have a good technique or weigh in over 90 kg I suggest you think about the 101 quad as the 95 Tri is a more technical board. The 101 quad is a very forgiving board and turns exceptionally well for a board of its size. If you were to be critical of the 101 quad then I'd say it's not quick to plan, but you wouldn't call it a dog. However unless you plan to have this as your only board then if you are using a board of this size then it's likely you won't be planing on any board anyway.
Having said all of the above, George loves the 95 Tri and it planes earlier than the 101 quad.
My suggestion is come down to Gerroa in a NE'er and ask to demo the boards listed, except you'll need to hit Sam up from WindsurfnSnow as he is the only one I know who has a demo 95 tri.
Thanks Knottedup, appreciate your feedback. I am looking at the 95 being a one board solution - I'm currently 84kg. I sail in a lot of marginal conditions and don't mind the compromise of being a bit overboarded on the rare occasions when its cranking and would prefer a bit better low end performance and earlier planning as that's what I get out in the most (ideally I will try and pick up a smaller board later on for those cranking days). I currently have a 100ltr starboard quad as my only board and it's a great board but feel that the Triwave will give me even earlier planing and still deliver great turning ability in light wind + some added stability with a bit more width. My only concern is it may be a bit of a handful on those really windy days - but probably not much more so than the 100ltr I'm currently on and it's probably worth the trade off for the other benefits.
That's me tomorrow 3 Jan. At least the driving bit, not sure there will be even that much swell.
Starting early on my 130 litre board and swapping to a 112 litre when it picks up.
That is easier than changing sails.
