This popped up on facebook and I thought it was worth a watch.

If you saw this before the comp why would you even bother entering? In those conditions at least.

At about 2.18 is that a backward loop with a duck gybe or did he just lose the rig? The back loop with what I think was a push loop on the end? Awesome. The guy is so comfortable on his gear he must live on the water.

I'd say he only leaves the water to go sto sleep and then he probably replays and analyses all his moves.

I'd love to see him on location. I've seen a few pros at it in Maui And the commitment they have on the water is spectacular.

The guy is on a level entirely by himself is he not? Frontside pushloop, Backloop to clewfirst landing I mean wtf haha. When it comes to purely shredding big slabs I think there are those who are better, not that I've seen Koster really do that much of that, but when it comes to jumping and tricks on waves no one is more dialled, in awe

Yep totally agree, he's almost too polished with those crazy moves, it looks to easy for him. Yeah there are definately others who hack waves better, but these days that's not going to win pwa comps, not in the location they are held.

How awesome does he sail that little rock surge peak. It's not even a proper wave!

And a very nice dude to share the water with. When he sailed here there was no pretense, no bull****, no entourage. My German friend had to explain who he was.

Yea I had the same experience in Fiji
with Koster. Super nice guy and heaps quiet. (That was until he went sailing)
Sweet vid. So smooth in cross on waves. You can see why he's a 2x world champ.
