Come one, Come all!!
Jason Polakow is popping in to say hi this coming weekend! Come into Windsurfnsnow on Friday Night for a meet and greet, and a beer or two! Party in style with JP's other team riders Keahi de Aboitiz and Geoff Breen.
Then, looking at the forecast, instead of a SUP surf session, THE LEGEND just might show us how its done in the wide world of wave sailing.
It should be a cracker of a weekend!
Thanks to JP Australia and the Neil Pryde Group!!
WINDSURFNSNOW
The JP crew went out about 11 at Brownwater in Fishermans bay. There was enough water over the slab so the they could pickup waves for mostly backside riding over the reef and then some frontside smacks as the waves reformed into the shore break. It was windy 20-25 and some big sets came through - logo high out the back. JP made it look like a skatepark with some cleanly landed backloops. Quite a few onlookers, about 20, taking shelter in the lee of the golf club renovations to watch. A few of the local crew also sailed. JP and his mate all smiles and encouraging. BBQ back at WSnS was really relaxed with JP getting a few pics with the kids and explaining the finer points of back looping. Unfortunately they were on a plane to the Goldy and had to dash at 2pm.
It would be great to see some footage or pictures of Polakow sailing there. I wish I could have made it down. Instead I watched the likes of Joel Parkinson, Julian Wilson, Pat Gaudouskis and Co ripping the abosulte sh!t out of Newcastle Harbour during Surfest. My all time favourite athlete is Polakow and it was sick to think that this history all went down in the same state at basically the same time only 2 hours apart by car. Thanks eastcoast low.
JP's fellow team rider Geoff B was amazing in his sailing, nice guy, humble and sailed on a 99litre twinzer quad he borrowed from the shop!
I've seen some pics Matt took over his shoulder
Hey Tim, that was Huddo on the water not Geoff Brean. Breannie got a quick lesson from JP at the Lake first thing in the morning but wasn't quite ready for the ocean that day.
Great weekend though,
Sam.
Young Pete took some photos of the JP session, and here is a link to them.

OMG
I apologise - I had no idea that it was the main JP Neil Pryde guy in the water. I thought it was some Maui pro making it look easy.
Top day!!!
Really inspiring
