Hi all,
Due to a very unfavourable forecast for this weekends event, it was decided to try and reschedule the event to the following weekend 30-31st August. This big east coast low has mucked up the usual winter pattern we are used to at this time of the year! Hope you all got amongst it in some way over the past couple of days.
We have been able to persuade all the relevant authorities and have been granted permission for the new date, this is a big task given the usual red tape behind large organisations. Thanks to the Port Stephens Council and the Roads and Maritime Services for working through the request.
Our accommodation partner is happy to change anyones bookings to the next weekend. So please call them today or tomorrow to make the new arrangements.
Thankyou all in advance for the understanding in regards to this big decision. The NSW Wavesailing aim is to get everyone out on the water to enjoy the sport of wavesailing so hopefully we will see you all there on the 30-31st, with a big winter cold front westerly blowing.
Cheers,
George
Yep
We need some wind and a westerly at Birubi can be super fun DTL
Hopefully the following weekend warms up a bit too
UPDATE
The reschedule of the event has given us another opportunity to get some conditions at the first event for the NSW Wavesailing Expression Session Title. The long range forecast is looking pretty good for Saturday and possibly Sunday with the BOM forecast saying 20-25knots from the Southwest and seabreeze saying 20-25knots from the South. What ever it brings we will be having fun so come along and enjoy the weekend. We have a deal with the Anna Bay Tavern for dinner and drinks on the Saturday night and Birubi Beach Caravan Park still has some standard cabins available at a reduced rate with no additionsl charges for extras.
This year we will be accummulating results of the expression session series and have a yearly winner so make sure you get there to try and get some early points.
Up for Grabs for all competitors is some great prizes and CASH!!! WindsurfNsnow has again given their great support being the series sponsors.
Go to wssboards.com.au/ and get your supplies.
See you on Saturday.
Cheers,
George
