I am lucky enough to be honeymooning in Fiji for a week in mid June - and I am allowed to windsurf. The problem is I need to stay on the main island. Does anyone know of gear rental places for wavesailing stuff on the main island?

I am trying to locate some good quality seaside accomodation near a good wavesailing spot. So far found Sigatoka river mouth. There seems to be some good stuff near there too. Keen on any recommendations....

Not sure about wave sailing gear but when I was at the Naviti Resort on the Coral Coast in 2008 they did have sailboard gear for hire or free for guests.

Have a pretty large bay area that was being dredged out to cater for their water sports options. Flat water mainly, as it is protected by the outer reef. Doubt there would be "waves". Did not sail there myself as it was still being dredged.

No high end gear, more for beginners etc. but was relatively new and in good condition (unusual for Fiji). Starboard boards and a variety of sails/sizes.

Don't really know of hire places for sailboarding on the Coral Coast; there may not be any.

Saw a few good bays between the CC resorts and Sigatoka that opened out through the reef and onto ocean swells and some waves but saw no one out. Thought "if I had my freewave or wave board with a 5.3 I would have given it a go".

Good luck.
