anyone get out there today?
I sailed at yamba, was basically 0 swell, but a fair breeze. wondering if its worthwhile driving down to woolgoolga tomorrow, looks like the wind is present at least, if not the swell.
Watched a few out in town at Coffs, overlast 2 days (damn work!), the NE was looking really good, whitecap fun, swell real small to zero atm but, lets hope it developed some fetch (and maybe some ramps)!
Hi all,
Sailed Wenonah today (20mins south of Coffs) at 3pm, 20knot NorEaster, no swell though, the latest reports are for a southerly tomorrow before lunchtime but a North-NorWester early, so register early for a great days sailing..! Hope it pushes up some swell for sunday and monday..!
See you all there !
a bunch of us sailed woolgoolga south side of flat top and there was a couple of feet of wind swell along with a reasonable 20knots - good fun and water temp meant spring suit or boardies rather than the steamer ![]()
lol i had to pick up my new car from sydney yesturday. stopped by just as the ask huey van and two others were leaving at 6 pm lol. looked awsome fun. super clean in there. bummed i missed out.

Had an awesome day, even thou conditions did get a bit too much for my meager skills and equipment. Was awesome to see the pro's and the top amateurs showing their stuff. Tatsu's massive pushloop would have to be one of the highlights, and he did it with a sprained ankle! Was really impressive seeing dan pulling of aerials earlier on when most of use were struggling to even get planing.
Hats off to the organisers!
My first event with the NSW Wave sailing crew.
20 minutes spent judging the pros in the first heat that was eventually cancelled due to light winds.
5minutes having a free sail when the wind came up.
10minutes in the first of the old farts heat untill #%*&$#@$#
5 hours in Coffs harbour hospital having x rays and a cast put on my foot to mend two broken bones. Up to eight weeks in plaster.
I will be back next year to see all the friendly faces when the foot heals.
hey spaggetti, thanks for the pix and who do the photo credits go to, as they are top quality images and really capture the rapture of the action we missed as we were getting pounded by the same ballistic southerly at nambucca main where LLoydey and Richard were taking up the slack and doing the lip smack too.
condolences to he who broke his foot, and their would be a few bruises on others as their are here too. here is a hapsnap of nam anyway while the show was happening at flattop.
Yep, thks a lot to the organizers - the event wasn't an easy one to organize as the wind eventually picked up quite late in the afternoon and lot of heats had to be ran. Had a great WE.![]()
Yea great job guys. Best event in years. Just got back from hospital nose broken and stitched up but straight thank god! Great weekend had a ball![]()
Tim, Mark, Bok and myself ended up on one of the best beach breaks I've seen on a beach halfway between Crescent and Point Plomer. Shared it with one mal rider - great vibes and great rides!
Guys, sorry for hijacking this thread but i realised last saturday during my heat that I need to extend my quiver beyond my 5.3... So if you guys have sails 4.2-4.7 and masts (400) sitting around that you re looking to sell please PM me. thanks Antoine
Yepp, I reckon that was possibly the best sailing I have enjoyed at a NSWWA event. Great riding and great jumping - happy days.
Easy Parko,
