The first one who says "One of the best sessions of the year, good surf strong wind, lovin it!!!!! " whereas 90% of us are currently in front of a computer, refreshing coastalwast every minute; i may not like him.

Wasn't that good, too many people snaking waves and screwing around.

You were sailing well Bladez -
but i agree that it was pretty crowded when the sets came through. The cast of Australia's Next Top model, some of the Cronulla Sharks development squad, a pre-school swim class and every kook who wanted to learn to surf in a 25knot NE were all on the beach and having a swim right where you wanted to hit the lip. (Why is it that swimmers have no common sense and want to swim in the middle of a dozen guys zipping around when between the flags is much safer and has no sharks!)

I also heard one of the sponsors turned up with a case of cold ones to top off the session.

cheers to all who got amongst it - I thought the standard was pretty high

Wasn't "all time" but one of the better sails this season, my ageing body is feeling it today!!
And if I see Dan Berry do another sub-planing backie I'm gunna run him down...if I can catch him that is!

It was pretty epic here in Wollongong on wed, solid 4.7 and nice waves, probably the best sail of the season so far. It has been windy before but there hasn't been much swell around.

Went down to Gerroa after work Wed since the wind didn't cooperate in the Gong, was a bit skeptical because the swell was pretty east and wasn't sure it would work too well. Up the top it was maybe 1ft....max but i sailed about 8-900m down the beach and it was awesome. The banks down there were sweet and with that epic low tide you were so far out from the trees wind wasn't an issue, 4.7 again :D It was just pure glass. Pity it took about 15 min to walk back up the beach at about 730 as the wind had died off. I think i'm an inch shorter now...

Then sailed Peggy's here in wollongong yesterday. MAXED on the 4.2, waves were good for about 30 min then got blown flat. Then this arvo solid 4.7 weather again, pity there wasn't much swell about.

What a week! Four days in a row on sub 5m sails, not very often that happens in NSW. More of the same I say!@1
