Hi guys,

what's the best wind/waves direction for waveriding in Cat Bay, Phillip Island?
Is it north west swell with south west wind? or south wind? Do you reckon this coming Mon/Tue is gonna be good?

Cheers
Matteo

Hey Matteo ... southwest swell is best; a little more west means a bit more wave size creeping around Left Point, a little more south in the swell means a bigger swell needed to get around. Straight SW wind best for Right Point; perfect slightly off. Mon / Tues may have a fair bit off South; pretty offshore, winds flukier and virtually none on the inside ... so need a lot of float and patience. Flynns needs a NW wind and plenty of swell to be great. If it's too offshore / gusty / small; most other options on and near the island will be on or cross-on. Inverloch bar usually a great fun option.
