I'm looking to get a new board and I just wanted to get an idea of what people are using for wave sailing. In particular the volume compared to their weight for a wind range of 20+ knots. Currently have a 74l and weigh in at 82kg.

Where you sail it's obviously very windy or you don't sail much...because that is crazy! I ride an 86L quad, I weigh 71kg. Imo the difference between it and say a 75L is marginal in terms of looseness but I can plane out far more easily and use it in 10kts. With today's shapes/multi fin boards you'd have to be crazy to ride something that far under your weight unless you live in Maui. Imo.
Get an 82L Karlo.
U will spend more time ripping and less time swimming at scabs.
Your used to small boards so going to a board where volume=your body weight will be fine.
I kind of thought I'm going to have to go to something more close to my body weight.
CJW - In actual fact I also ride a 68l/5.4m when its around the 25 knot mark, but fair point. But under 15 knots I'd sooner do something else.
Sometimes these boards feel bulky when carving compared to a surfboard, which is the feel I was after. Maybe the Quads and thrusters would have more of a surfboard feel than a single fin.
I have done my share of swimming at scarbs and not due to the wind dropping off 
Karlo grab a quad, i think you will be surprised. speak to the big fella, the new quads are nice. I'm loving my 82L and it doesnt feel big to me and i'm 76kgs.
Grab Gadget next time your down there, he has a brand spanking new 82L quad. I'm sure he would give you a blast and you will be instantly converted.
91-92 kg: 84/92/120l
The small Twinzer definitely feels better in a good seabreeze, and is a little sharper on the wave than the 92l. However, this year I've sailed the 92l much more because our sea breezes have been rather holey, and I'm loving it with a 5.3 or 5.7. The 120 l only gets an outing when water starting on the 92 is very difficult, and grovelling too wobbly to be comfortable.
