We've dragged Ricardo off Maui to come visit the wavesailing mecca that is Sydney!
He get's in next Friday the 7th and will be heading to Wanda from about 3pm onwards. If the wind is on then we'll be on the water if not it's a great chance to meet the 3 x World Freestyle Champ over a few beers and a BBQ.
He's also around over the weekend doing demos at Ramsgate Beach for the start of the Slalom Nationals early Saturday then Kyeemagh later on. Then with a bit of luck with wind and waves he may head to either Wanda or Gerroa on the Sunday.
Details for Sat and Sun may change a bit wind conditions so keep an eye on the forums or call WSS for updates. Friday is on for sure though.
Friday looks pretty good for NE with not too bad swell. So Wanda should be sweet.
Sat will still be at the same venues unless it goes west then we could be at Kurnell.
Sunday if the Southerly is good early then my guess would be Makaha with a little WSS shop visit afterwards around early to mid afternoon.
Will keep you posted as the chance to see guys like Ricardo sail is well worth a bit of effort.
Sam.
Went sailing today at Gerroa...and he was out
was great to seem him out there. Got one massive air of decent wave... and tore apart a wave right in front of me while i was getting a flogging
A bit of a drama for the weekend dates has come up. Unfortunately Ricardo has to leave a bit earlier than planned, meaning that Sunday's demo has been canned. Saturday will be on super early during the rego of the slalom Nationals. If there's wind then we the Freestyle demo will be on the water around 9ish. Again, we'll keep you posted.
Friday is on as planned with the addition of a fair bit of JP/Pryde demo kit being available to try out.
