We all know it happens here in SA, but deny it happens, after Easter each year until the NWester's arrive in late May early June with the first winter cold fronts. So to say you are a windsurfer to anybody who don't sail or know anything about windsurfing at this time of year make you look like a wally boarder floating around in 5 to 10 knots on flat water on an one design windsurfer/ SUP and calling it hardcore!!
Now it's a time to take stock of what you want to improve with your sailing this winter/ spring and how best you are going to go about it. Either it may be an equipment up grade or a resolve to ''Harden The F@#K Up'' and go for the next big move that is holding you back .
This is the best thing about wavesailing , you will never fully master or get bored of it and you can always improve.
Look at Mark Angulo at the moment @ 44 years of age, he is still pushing new avenues of wave sailing the younger guys are not even looking at the moment . I know Mark well ,he is the most quitely spoken guy you could meet ,until he hits the water line at Hoopkia , then he lets his sailing do the talking.
I have talked to him about it, and he said he will lay in bed at night dreaming up new moves in his head then commits himself to being worked 200 to 300 times[ in front of the rocks @ hookpia] before he gets enought mind/ muscle memory to to finally pull it off .
This can do attitude , should be adoped by all, this will push our wavesailing sport to new levels and back into the main stream watersport media , along with forcefully pushing us windsurfing designers to follow you the wave sailor with your new demands on design , and not us forcing onto you ,what we think is best for you

keep up the good work with the larger size waveboards = more time on the water - esp for us east coasters.
Speaking of doldrums, can I ask which board of yours would you recommend as a maximum size?.......say for a 78kg person for use in light/gusty wind wavesailing (non-waterstartable).

king of the point
