I'm going to have a stab in the dark and say something along the lines of someone advertising "Australian windsurfing tours of WA's finest locations" advertised in a UK mag?

Seems like Windsurf Magazine has printed photos of JP's trip to Gnaraloo, which are probably quite impressive. Realistically though did anyone not know.....maybe a few Techno sailors and a few yanks who think Hawaii is exotic and on the edge of the world.

Boards Mag gave Tassi some coverage which is great, we need more people on the water.

JP's trip to Gnaraloo had already gone worldwide with this

Just because this website ends with au doesnt mean the rest of the world cant see it

With the cost of our Aussie dollar plus the high cost of living here as in food rent petrol, it'll be too expensive for people to come over hear.

you will notice that in the video we made sure not to name the "spot that shall not be named"

and same goes for all the promotion - it was always JP rediscovers australia

so hopefully the mag didnt name names

(i know its silly because most of the world knows where it is) however out of respect for the locals (and my own personal sailing fun) i never name the spot other than the hint that it is near Eneabba.

But we cant stop mags from doing otherwise

but i wonder how long it will be before the "Eneabba" road house becomes an air conditioned Oxbow surf superstore sponsered by Red Bull ?

wow you blokes in WA must have it bad with the crowds.

my last few sails in good condition during the last lot of southerlies were rather lonely with no one else out. maybe the mag wants to do write up of sydney wave sailing in winter, could get some company. doubt it though....

mind you gerroa i summer does not need brought to the worlds attention.

WOW as this is our favourite area in the world to go and windsurf I almost understand you getting upset. The web is full of stuff about this spot unfortunately, however, although I have many videos of my own of there I NEVER put them on the web!

I know some people may not realize it but there has been a major “sea change” in the exchange rates. Due to the exchange rate alone it now costs us Brits almost double what we paid 10 years ago to go to OZ and the Euros are at least 20% worse off to go there. As a pair who live full time in a van it's a struggle to go to OZ, the overseas visitors have not increased to this spot, we know we have spent the last 6 out 7 seasons in the area staying at least 6 months windsurfing each time. You can expect the visitors to drop off regardless of a magazine article (we all know its an OK Mag ), you are just too far away from everybody to casually have a trip there. Keep cool the spot will be safe and shoulder operation permitting we'll be there chilling out this season.

Thanks Oz from very grateful Brits
