I'm a member of Inverloch Windsurf Club, affiliated with Yatching Vic, which is under Sail Aust. Does this cover our club members as most of us are not associated with Windsurf Vic?
Cheers, Pete

I presume that membership comes with event insurance. If so that is fine. i had a look on the SAIL Aust site and I couldnt see an active list of financial members.
Maybe email me at secretary@windwanderers.org.au with the information on your members

It looks as though AWA are separate to Sail Australia's Insurance policy.
www.windsurfing.org/insurance.htm
If you're not a member of State Associations or the following clubs then i don't think your insured for AWA sanctioned events.
I maybe wrong though.

This competition has been initiated by WindWanderers, and the club can put any conditions on entry to the competition they want, just like anyone who runs any competition. This isn't an event or a race It's just normal everyday sailing with a GPS. The AWA condition is intended to ensure that people who are entering the competition are doing so whilst covered by the usual 24x7 insurance that club members enjoy, while supporting their sport and industry We believe being a member Sail Australia satisfies our requirements.
