Carrum Sailing and Motor Boat Club have updated their site and webcams in the last few months. Just stumbled across this today. It says the wind readings from the club house.

"Weather and Camera Systems located at Carrum Sailing and Motor Boat Club - Stephens Street, Carrum, Victoria, AustraliaSystem Location: Lat: 38° 4'26.56"S Lon: 145° 7'13.53"E"

I sometimes think Frankston reading on Seabreeze is 'in a hole' This can reflect the same scenario at Bonbeach where the wind does not pick up until you get well out from shore but sometimes it does seem low...

Comparatively there is not much different with the SW today...

Anyone else used this site?

Well, you couldn’t get a public access reading closer to Bonno than Carrum. Good to see that Carrum is back.

Agree that the Frankston reading may be a bit low in a southerly.

If you look at the 3 sites of Frankston, Carrum and Mordialloc (www.mordiallocsc.com.au/weather/), you'll have a good idea of what’s happening along that stretch of coast.

Hope this helps.
