Thanks to everyone that came up to me at Sandy Point and expressed interest in the event. It was really encouraging to learn so many of you are keen for this to happen.

I would also like to thank the crew at SHQ for doing a great job running the Sandy Point weekend and the nice words about ATB to Conquer Cancer.

There has been some updates made on www.acrossthebay.com.au to questions that were asked in case you have not had a chance to check it out.

One question that was asked is 'when is the latest that a person can register?'.

The answer is that its not yet decided when registration will close, however spaces are limited because we need to make sure that we can safely run the event and Windsurfing has a 50 spots.

Another thing that is equally important (if not more so), is the fact that this is a fund raising charity event. Registering late will give you less opportunity to raise funds.

Once you have resisted you will be set up with an 'Everyday Hero' fundraising account will you will be able to share with your friends and family, to help raise funds for the Cancer Council Vic.

The Cancer Council Victoria does amazing work in cancer prevention, support and research in Victoria. Your fundraising will help make a real change for the better and help find a cure.

So if you haven't already registered, sign up today and remember that this is not just about doing a down winder, but seeing beyond your own needs for the greater good.

I really hope that we can steer away form the negativity of recent times and come together as a windsurfing community on this.

Happy to answer any questions. PM me or post here.

Jez
