Hello Everyone,
Its the beginning of the 2016 / 2017 Season and time to renew W.T membership.
It may be a little cold, but we are all thinking about it, and some have already the iced their toes in the water.
Benefits of membership include;
Being part of a socially active club, competition entry, access to hire gear and insurance at events.
New sails are being purchased for the learner gear so as soon as the weather warms you may like to think about getting your friends or family on the water.
The Race / Social calendar this year will include;
GPS 5 Monthly rounds in October, November, December, January and February
Social nights
Open/learner days North and South
Movie night
Stanley racing and a new Windsurfing Trophy Night, where trophies will be dusted off and presented to season winners.
Wave Sailing Expression Sessions North & South
and more.
The Season Calendar will be released shortly.
Kind Regards Gillian

Thanks Gill, Damien and I will get back to you re dates for the learner days in the south.
We'll start hiring out the leaner boards in October when the water and weather warms up just to play it safe.
To add to Gills list of great reasons to join WT those who do are also helping new people get into sailing through the learner days and the hiring of the leaner boards so join up and help get more people on the water and more banter off the water![]()

Props to you Mr President after your stellar contribution to windsurfing Tas last year. Rumour has it that you worked so hard that you had to fit some extra nanna naps in.

Also, great exposure for the southern lettuce wrangler on SBS Insight program on literacy tonight. Special mention for The Farm's literacy program. Impressive, (not on topic, sorry
).

Oh to see a grown man (or is that a 'groan man') rubbing himself up against the rocks like that, in public!
I would have thought that he was old enough to know better...
