Well my thoughts from down south are.
not the best at all, i can see why Houston tried kiting!
The summer seabreezes were inconsistent
The westerly winds backed off in October and did not really return, hopefully soon before winter.
whats the northern report?
Zip

Zilch

Spring straight through to Winter - no summer.
Need I say more?
The week to come looks just like the last 10

The question is - Does this bode well for winter, or otherwise?
What are the chances...?
Typically, a forecast this far out slips into the following day... please, please, please blow on ANZAC Day!

There is no point looking at the forecast anymore, it is always wrong. Consulting the fortune telling people seems like a more dependable idea at the moment.
I did notice a snail crossing the road, backwards, with a cricket riding on its back, whistling God Save the Queen - I can't believe that I didn't recognize the signs...

The photos of Buxton last year summed up the season pretty well. Massive promise but mixed results before Christmas with the northerners missing out.
Some great moments!!!

Some ......not so great...

But in the end sometimes you have just got to be happy with what you get.....I am sure there is a Rolling Stones lyric in there somewhere..

Make that 24-26 knots ![]()
Are you trying to tell me that it was only 18 months ago that Cheese Rolls were fashionable? Time just flies doesn't it?
Hey, Captan Morgan, you said that you had a good shot of Greenie heaping it...
Pete / Phil - sorry some of us has to head off (not enough sailing - trashed). I hope you guys had a taste of what Belbuoy can be like, despite it not being a great day.
That's a roll with cheese!!! ![]()
But hey!
They are in a league of they're own!!
damn! Need to get back into them again!
Forwards with 'Ham & Cheese' are sooo 89-90's![]()

Yes both had an afternoon taste and had a great sail. Was that gusty? Not sure of exact wind direction but it went a few degrees to W in late arvo which seemed better. Water warmer than in south. Needs showers and coffee van. Will be back. Need to sort travel to avoid 1 day trip - not so easy to do.
Glad to hear it SL.
I have said before that we can probably arrange 'accommodation' in Launceston for those who want to do a two day stretch on our turf. Not so sure about the coffee van and showers at Bellbuoy - I would suggest that you try 'lobbing' on Cookie and Gil at Low Head, on both counts. I don't think that they keep firearms on site specifically for the purposes of repelling enthusiasts... you could also BYO thermos of course, if you are gun-shy.
That said, the caravan park / campsite at Low head looks pretty cool and might be an option for those suitably equipped - they also have cabins, and I suspect that winter is not 'peak season'.
