Bens time is particularly impressive when you consider that it was done on a 5.3 wave sail with a 29 cm fin . This would have to be the fastest speed done on a wave sail this year and a 29cm fin is almost Formula sized by current standards, I think the Stanley crew were using fins around the 19 to 21 cm length.

Not sure we should call Ben's spot record location Lagoon Beach...
Technically it's "Kelso", but maybe just "Tamar River" works?

Either way - very amazing Ben, knowing the conditions, the state of the river, and what you went through just to get home! Freak of nature mate. Well deserving tho!

Thanks Gents. Johnny I reckon "Low Head" or "Port Dalrymple" would be appropriate. I'm cautious of it being too broad as I suspect there's a couple of other spots on the Tamar with some potential which are much further apart than East and West Pittwater

Nice tracks Ben. We can call it whatever we like - Kelso, Low Head, Port Dalrymple? I thought Port Dalrymple was down near the PDYC? Maybe Low Head (Tamar)?

I like "Tamar River"

It gives people incentive to find and try new spots in the river....

Having cross-referenced Master Flood's track with my comprehensive collection of admiralty charts two things have become apparent to me:

1. Benjamin appears to be unable to gybe, and
2. The correct name for this location is "North-West Bank"

HOWEVER, I suspect if I were to ever spend time with the cartographer responsible for this name I would find his company tiresome, he clearly has no creativity let alone social charisma.

I have pondered the issue and and henceforth suggest the names "The Flood Bank", or to avoid unnecessarily inflating any egos, the traditional team for the last stretch of a river "Sea Reach"

Yep - run with that name mate. Cool.

Goondog is on fire, and chart reading highlights his fine heritage and blood line!

Later that evening, Goondog sat back in style with his favourite boxie.
Such sophistication...

And table manners...
