What amazing learn to windsurf weather it has been !
As the weather was so perfect for learner day we extended it untill 6pm with those trying windsurfing for the first time having lots of success.
These photos are too entertaining not to post.
The things you can do with an inflatable sup/windsurfer and an old windsurfer sail with a boom long enough for two.
It as a great day indeed.
Great photos.
Great to see so many sails on the water, and so many youngsters.

It was a great day on the water with perfect wind conditions plenty of people who proved how easy the sport is to learn. A big thanks to Paul who did most of the heavy lifting by bringing the windsurf TAS boards to the beach and packing up and taking them all home at the end of the day. The day went for longer than expected, the boards were in constant rotation for most of 9 hours. A great effort from everyone involved.
Thanks Al and everyone else for a top day. Great seeing heaps of youngsters there and a couple not quite as young having a go. I did plan to be there to help pack up but you were going way after 2:00 and didn't look like stopping and I had to get home. Next time I will make sure I am free all arvo.
What a great day for learning to windsurf. Plenty of interested people to keep us busy but also enough time to really get them going and most were tacking, gybing and able to sail back to where they started. A nice and relaxed day at the goon. Thanks for the photo's Gill. Such an awesome place to sail.
Really great to hear conditions were perfect for learn to windsurf day!! Well done to all those involved, and yes, with a little persistence and patients, it is the best sport in the world. Plus we need a few more up and coming young sailors to take over Lagoon Bay, Bell Buoy and East Beach one day
Keep it up
