Yeah, looks very weird. Up til midday, BoM's Meteye shows nor easter strengthening. On the east coast looks like it will peak about 30+ knots! But early arvo shows a nor west change 20-35 knots depending on where you are in the south east of the state. Hmmm, I hope I'm wrong but can't help but think it might be a day where it howls for 10 minutes, then drops, then howls again, then shifts and drops etc etc. Hard to decide if taking the day off is worthwhile?

Port Sorell looking nuts. There you go Kazza. Low tide 12.45pm.

If only it wasn't this time of the year, way too busy with work to take the whole day off at the moment.

Heaps of options. Dorans, Pittwater, Marion (morning), Low Head, Port Sorell.

Morning around Hobart looks a little light and north east. Meteye suggesting after 2pm, wind to swing NW and 20-25 knots. Might be a bit too northerly for Dorans? River should be good. I'll stop by nutgrove and will check mid arvo. Mortimer and Cremorne front beach could also be good. Late arvo is predicted to swing more west, so Cremorne front beach might get sketchy. Dorans might be the go then. 25-35 knots.

Sounds like the "hermitage " day a month ago or so dorans ended up a constant 4,2 m wind after 5pm

Yeah. This work thing really isn't conducive to sailing though. Just a touch far to go for an afternoon sail. Although when times are desperate.
