I've got an airport run this morning. Seems a waste not to check Carlton on a forecast like this

Haven't you blokes got your Wattsapp for communicating who's going sailing. I don't need to be preparing for work and find out what the privileged are doing with their day; while listening to the wind pound the side of the building. Surly you don't need rub it into everyone's faces by posting on seabreeze, facebook, twattsapp, instagram, twitter and hook a conference call with all on your contact list. Just so the same handful of stay at home dads( ) and retirees can catch up for a latte and a quick dip at a local bump and jump location.
Oh yeh and for what its worth, have fun

Nation of lifters today ,as all of us have at least 3hours work to do before sailing .At this rate budget repair should be done by Xmas , the Aussie dollar will be worth 1.05 US again and we will be buying houses in China

Ps remember the Internet is just fear under another name probably being beamed to us by a omega in the Strathgordon dam none of us really exists we are just avatars for higher "God " like creatures from higher dimensions playing computer games , you are currently at level 2

Damo says Dorans is cranking. Airport shows west wind 20 knots gusting 30. BoM Meteye suggests wind should be solid till early arvo at least for Dorans and Carlton (although Carlton reports haven't sounded promising??) Late arvo looks like it'll turn SW and get light. I'll play it safe and try Dorans.

If anyone is thinking of going sailing this arvo, be a little careful. Dorans howled at 12 (30+ knots). Backed off at 1:30. Got REALLY patchy after that - gusty and wind shifts. So you'd want to take some bigger gear now. Not sure what Carlton is doing. Hob airport was back to 15 knots gusting 20+. Forecast says wind to drop. Had a crew of 8 out at Dorans before I had to scarpa back to work. Hope it keeps working for those who are still out.

Classic case of over forecasting by BOM 20/30 knots inland waters most of the day turned into 1 hour of decent wind at Carlton between 1pm and 2 then another hour of light wind wave riding before dropping to nothing . Fun but to short lived , to be classic
