had a good run of northerlies this winter and a sheet load of rain, just a good old fashioned winter and its looking to continue this weekend.
D street 15-25 sat--similar to last sunday, most sailors had bolted after it died in the morning but it came back strong around midday, really is a game of patience sometimes down there but also too bloody cold to hang round too long

I will be at Goolwa this weekend so heading out on the Lake or at The Mouth depending what's best.

It's getting a bit breezy anyone heading out for a blast - heading for U's in an hour or so if anyones around - plenty white caps and very very small waves

Just go sailin tomorrow - no pain no gain!!!

This arvo was a plod and the occasional planing run with knee high unsurfable peaks - hope seaford or day st is OK tomorrow - sposed to be some new swell arriving - might be a bit westerley for middleton the swellnet crew say - waters not too bad but the air is just so friggin cold - I havent been warm since we got off the plane last night.

Cheers for the heads up - Mid looks breezy but waves are a bit ordinary and 2.1 m tide at 1200 or so is just soaking up what waves are there.

The Cape du Couedic wave buoy has shot up to 3-5 metres over last 8 or so hours so it might build - what to do day st for a possible swell increase or just sail fat high tide at the mid.

not a very good sail down at day st, but plenty of wildlife. whales, seals, shark( bit too close) and a penguin( in dogs mouth)

Was OK at the mid 5.0 with inconsistent but waist high surf got better - especially around middle of the day. Maybe try Goolwa beach tomorrow....

Not sounding promising - a mid morning sail at U's again might be the go or snaps if too onshore.
Quote Swellnet "Not to much on the coast today, Middleton dead flat this morning, waits and parson may have a tiny wave if your lucky, good luck to the pro juniors today".

I will be cruising around at Christies on a Ross 780 all afternoon, was hoping to get a late sail at Snapper, could be very optimistic.......

Good to hear you all had a good sail yesterday,

Ended up with better surf but inconsistent wind. There were good rides if you were in the right place at the right time and you knew what you are doing, which I didn't...

last 2 surfs i had at redcliffes around easter there was a seal hanging around, maybe he knew there were sharks at middleton and got better odds hanging with the surfers,.Never seen a shark down there in 30 or so years in the water ,although one of my mates pulled his foot out of the water one day with a gummy shark hanging off the big toe,
Any idea on what type it was mclovin...gummmy or bigger--dont make it sound too big?
