hey,
just wondering what west lakes would be like with a nw wind and were would be the place to sail on it?
cheers
Tirrana Way would be the best spot. nice big open pond with plenty of grass to rig up and would be cross onshore to make it easy....
It would be very gusty though.... you get half way out in the middle just cruising and then it rips your arms off as it gully's through the houses.
If you can handle the waves, go to the beach.
If youre a beginner, Westlakes is great as it is very safe, can go on your own but you do learn to surf in gusts....
The Haven would be much nicer to sail...don't know what ya'll find in Westlake's![]()
Ill be there 10ish for a few hours, and ill say there'll be few others there....
Great place to learn and hava blast....just the ****ty rigging area..!!
Might see ya on the water ![]()
yea north haven sounds good, id say im a bit above beginner but im taking some friends out who are beginners.
Wheres the best spot to rig over there?
You can rig on grassed area by the roundabout near the club and carry ya
gear down...or where ever ya can find a spot.
I normally park and rig south of car park in the dirt.....![]()
