yesterday's forecast was pretty depressing, so i had written it off. then i get SMS from Koshi mid-morning asking if I was heading out. look up the bom I saw the gulf forecast had improved, enough to warrant packing up the car.

turned out a surprisingly good day...powered up from 3pm onwards in such smooth water with a good crew out - some sailing until the sun was almost gone. everyone came off the water grining.

it wasn't frontal, more sea-breeze. apparently autumn still has some tricks up its sleeve

i got ten days leave starting friday. i hope huey continues to be kind to me.

Yep today was awesome!!
Something about the direction made it really smooth and flat.
Was definitely a pure seabreeze.

When you guys left I jumped back in and kept going :)

It was still cranking at 7pm but by then I was knackered
Was the first time I had ever sailed under the stars, me and 1 other die hard sailor :)

Damn it. Oh well. Roll on mid winter northerly's.

You would think today would be better since the prevailing winds are weaker.
