Hi guys / girls havent been out for 10 years except lesson at West Lakes last summer dying to start up again..... I will be honest I sucked then and trying to make life easy to get progress is the new gear a lot better?? I currently have a BIC TECHNO board and PRYDE V6 6.5 sail I reckon that is ok but wonder what improvements have been made. Anyone that goes out and doesnt mind a learner tagging along would be great. cheers

New gear is better but it would probably best to use the Bic to get back into windsurfing again then when you have reached the limits of the Bic then look into a newer board.

The best place to develop your skills if you are willing to drive is boggy www.windsurfing.org/files/FactSheet_Boggy_Lake.pdf usually a bunch of windsurfers down there on Saturdays wind is usually lighter in the morning before the seabreeze kicks in in the afternoon.

I was at North Haven yesterday, you should have come down in the morning. Was a nice 15-18 knotss nnw, so pretty flat and also safe if ya just getting back into the swing of things!!

A guy got 34 knots out of his large bic techno at boggy lake the other week so they are no slouches as far as top speed :P
