hi all im only back for a week and forecast is not looking that good . Is any one sailing today and if so is there any good spots along the adelaide cost i might not no off that get good wind when it is average? I went boggy lake yesterday and that was good! thanks for any info .
Kent reserve near victor or maybe sellicks - sellicks could be a bit ordinary though being this cold - I think the boys got some good conditions at Kent yesterday.
For northern beaches in SSE, Chicken shop or North Haven is okayish, but these days are not worth taking a day off work for.
On Sunday I'm thinking about going to Port Hughes. This is on BOM's 3-7 day forecast at the moment which isn't reliable, so I'm going to wait until Sunday morning before I make my decision. BOM models Spencer Gulf winds pretty reliably.
Jamdfinger: The forecast has changed a bit (I can only go by the forecast). It's a throw up between Sems and Pt Hughes in the arv.
Jamdfinger: Me and Kym heading to Port Hughes (Kym's on his way).
Legless: Boggy isn't for me G. I would need to sail there a fair bit to get used to it.
Damn!
It was about 12-16kts at the chicken shop on sunday!
I had the 134L out with a 5.0 sail hoping that it would build in the afternoon but no joy!
As always. it picked up to about 20kts just as I got everything packed up.
Ahh well, we will be at Moonta Hopefully on the 24th and 25th.
Glad to hear you guys got a sail there!
Semaphore was cranking from about 5pm till after 6.30pm with big jumps and i only had to drive 20mins to get there Kym......I thought you hated driving![]()
yeah - Sunday surprised me and turned into an absolute belter of a session - i thought it was going to be marginal but by late afternoon it was spot on (at times fully lit on my trusty 5.8).
i sailed non-stop for three hours until i could hardly catch the boom after a gybe.
i'm sore but still grinning about it today
w00t!
