Hey,
I,ve got the opportunity to study at the uni of adelaide so will probably move over there soon and was wondering where would be the best place to position myself as a keen sailboarder. Was lookin at hallett cove??. Any thoughts would be great!
I guess it depends on the type of windsurfing you want to do. However the unfortunate reality of windsurfing is that you need a car to get to the best spot for the type of windsurfing you want to do depending on wind direction. Or if you are lucky enough to live on the waterfront of a great spot you then need transport to get to work or Uni or if the wind is blowing the wrong direction.
Personally - my 2 cents worth
If you surf as well as Divaldo said seaford way - new train station soon to the city good fun wave sailing during winter.
If you like B&J and gonna be here for summer go north to semaphore they get the best and often balistic sea breezes or go half way - seacliff or brighton and then toss a coin which way you drive on a se'r summer arvo.
Hallets isnt a renown windsurf spot, rocky beaches hi cliffs/ hills - but a few crew do sail it
plenty of friendly crew around and its a nice place to live
claw i hope you obtain your degree or whatever your chasing super fast and get back west old mate' lol
all b/s aside you couldnt go past the mid
