Hi. I live in the UK but will be in SA from Dec 8th to Jan 11th (my daughter lives in Uraidla). I'm a fairly experienced windsurfer, but have only limited kit out in Oz: one board, a Techno 160 (high volume, as you can see) and three sails: 4.5, 5.7 and 7 m. We were out in Adelaide earlier this year but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to sail. However, I did check out much of the area, from North Haven down to Brighton, and also Boggy Lake.
I'd be very grateful for any advice on good places to sail/launch etc given the type of kit that I have (and a list of of things to avoid!).

Thank you in advance and here's to good summer windsurfing.

Hi Jim. Regarding ocean sailing, if you pick your time and place, you should be good. Your big board will become a handful when the seabreeze picks up, but will be enjoyable at low tide before the wind and chop pick up (normally before 3pm). I'll probably see you on the water if you are sailing north.

Hey mate - I am away after Dec 25 although until then I am more than happy to help out with spots to sail and some gear support. My email is gmitton@internode.on.net. Lets talk - I have been where you are! SA has some awsome spots...

It is looking like it is going to be a good summer at boggy this year now the water is back. Also the extra volume in your board helps in the fresh water. If you are willing to drive down there, there will be windsurfers at boggy on the weekend if there is any chance of wind.
