Hi Everyone,
Windsurfing SA is holding a meeting to review the last season and plan the new one. What events worked, what didn't, plans for State titles etc.
Why not come along to the meeting and gives us your ideas about what sort of windsurfing events you would like to see in SA?
If you can't get along, PM us with your ideas and I'll present them at the meeting
When: 8 pm Tuesday 30 March 2010
Where: Kingston House, Cameron Ave. Kingston Park (the big old house in the reserve)
Regards, Richard

What about a simple slalom event at Semaphore/Largs that would talk under an hour to complete ?. Use the Jetty's and the rock as way points.
I've talked about it with some people. Opinions and enthusiasm has been mixed. Let us do a few races with the crew up there. If people are keen, then we can make it bigger. My mates still have to learn how to go and up and down wind first (I've only just learnt it) and I can try it with them.
Yep, I'm happy to organise or help organise ![]()
Hey all,
We just ran the Kiteboarding States at the Grange Sailing Club. Awesome venue and they have boats an bouys. I'm sure they's set you up a course if you wanted. They have bar facilities and are great to work with. Additionally the club is great to watch from for the partners/spectators and provides good public viewing.

Yeah, I think some slalom races up North would be good - the winds are the most reliable and predictable up there. And if we were hold a Slalom Nationals at some point it would probably be somewhere up north anyway (Largs Bay last time). We should try and get ourselves a home town advantage by having events up there. Grange sounds interesting, Chops.
im definatly keen to run some more wave comps/ get togethers this winter. if its anything like last winter we would have good conditions for atleast 3 events. last year's states was awesome!
Hope you get a good turn out tonight for the meeting.
Can't make it but keen to help out with the wave event calendar again if crew think its still worth running the express session BBQ's on the mid or day street over winter and another state comp..etc.
I would encourage people to go along and discuss what you would like to see happening with windsurfing in SA - more people on board the better - all the crew are doing cause they love the sport and socialising so get behind it if you can
Thanks Russell,
I think the wave events last season were spot on - certainly got me trying harder and were good clean fun. And if can help get some locals over to the next Nationals even better.
On another topic:
Q. What do you call the first windy day after 2 days of no wind?
A. Monday :-)
I had a great sail at Kingston Park yesterday, 15-25 knots, blues skies, clear water and just me out for most it.
Hey all, Can't make the meeting tonight but am happy to judge and commentate again this year if needed. May even enter at somestage once I get the hang of it all again.
Hope the meeting goes well.

good meeting. events planned... richard will keep you posted and watch the windsurfing SA site for more info!
Hi guys! Greetings from the West Coast. Pete and I have informally discussed organising a west coast wave sail comp or meet which we think would work on the Jan long weekend as Tunarama is on same weekend which provides a good alternative if no wind or for friends and partners who travel over. People could base in Pt Lincoln and the we would daytrip to desired destination (with blindfolds of course). Have plenty of 4wds and trailers to help those in cars. Contact us if u think there are enough interested to start some planning. Regards Rob Zacher
Thanks to everyone who came along to Tuesdays meeting. A few ideas were chewed over and events planned. I'll post a summary here soon.
