After months of toil behind the scenes, Windsurfing SA is proud to launch it's event calendar for 09/10.

We've made a real effort to ramp up the number of events offered, with events for wave-sailors (including a State Titles), slalom sailors, and newcomers. We have scheduled a Seacliff to Semaphore Open Ocean Marathon, so brush up your off-the-wind technique.

The events are open to anyone, but you must be a member of Windsurfing SA to get liability issues under control. For your $40 membership you will get a good 3rd party insurance scheme - priceless really.

Check out www.windsurfing.org/sa.htm for a copy of the calendar and membership forms.

Windsurfing SA is run by volunteers for the Windsurfers of South Australia. Help build the sport in SA by becoming a member and supporting the events. The events aren't ultra-competitive. It's all about getting on the water together, having fun and having a reason to learn that move that you haven't quite nailed yet!

See you on the water - the Windsurfing SA committee

Awesome to see a calendar with so many events on it.
Has the October long-weekend been missed on the calendar or isn't it classed as an event?

Hi Tony - Beachport and Robe weekends are definitely events happening as far as we know and I'm looking forward to both and as many of the other events I can get too (might be time for a slalom board). I think the calendar was for the events that the crew at the meetings were organising with windsurfing SA - nothing more nothing less. Viva la windsurfing!!

a comment like that and I can tell I've been sitting at this computer too long today!!!

That's cool. I wasn't criticizing, I just wondered.
I'm planning on going around the course/s on my freestyle board Russ, just use your big x-over board.
Maybe you could forward the dates of the events not listed through to windsurfing sa to have them added to the calendar.

Yeah, the shop run events like October Long Weekend at Beachport and Easter of Robe aren't on the calendar. They are not Windsurfing SA events, but the Windsurfing SA crew has every intention of going to them as usual!

The website needs a make-over. Work is in progress!
