Dear Windsurfers,
Windsurfing SA have drawn up the calendar for next season:http://windsurfingsa.org.au/2010/04/19/calendar-2010-2011/
We have a few changes that we are stoked about:
* We have designated "calendar days" during the year where we run an event regardless of conditions:
Light winds: Longboard / SUP day with course racing, free style or light-wind wave sailing and an emphasis on Beginners and Intermediates
Moderate-strong winds: Slalom - Northern beach or Murray mouth
Ballistic winds: Bump and Jump - Big Air and Hero Gybe competition.
The discipline and location will be decided depending on the forecast.
*The Social Wave series will continue on from last years successful events, culminating in a State Wave title comp in August. We also have a West Coast wave event pencilled in for the January Long Weekend. There is a lot of excitement about that event already!
*We have coordinated with the classic events run by the Onboard shop, making these part of the calendar, including the Barmera event in November.
*We have pencilled in a sign-up night for drinks and videos, where everyone who is in town can renew their membership and get together to talk crap windsurfing. Online membership will also be available - stand by for more details in July.
*We are making moves to add value to the membership package including regular emails of news and events, but remember with membership you get third party insurance (www.windsurfing.org/insurance.htm) so you are already ahead :-). We have a new logo too!
Thanks to all those sailors who made it to Windsurfing SA events last season. Next season is promising to be bigger and better. Please support us!

For a minute there I thought this was going to be one of those fundraising "Windsurfing Men of South Australia" ladies calendar. The thought of Choco with a strategically placed extension(skinny of course) makes me shudder.
Good choice for the sign up night. There is an excellent band playing at BSYC on the 2nd July. Would be great to see a good turn out of windsurfing crew
First Wave event planned for May - Mid or Day Street - whichever looks the most promising
Expression session, sausage sizzle and a few ales afterwards.
Called the Thursday before if swell and wind predicted.
Aimed at anyone that wants to wave sail - the more the merrier - will post something closer to the date. We will be avoiding 2nd May (State SUP tiltes & 9th May Mothers Day)
well done fella's really like the idea of calendar days once a month that's the idea just do it and something will happen, just need to check my shift roster to suit the days and will try to come up when i can, hope the marathon goes off this time.
