Just a heads up from WindsurfingSA - there's a Kite surfing Wave comp at Seaford on Sunday 3rd July from 0800.
SAKSA rang to give us the heads up so if your down that way please avoid the comp area.
Theres a good chance Goolwa may be a better option any way so please do the right thing
Cheers
see you on the water

i would suggest at 25knots there will be a bit of rag dolling going on![]()
they should stick to the wall!!!
10 kites at middleton wouldn't be a problem. Middleton is a long stretch of beach. The mid doesnt get good all that often so hopefully u turns or triggs is working or we might all be sharing seaford
Thanks in advance guys. We know and acknowledge how important all "our favorite spots" are and really appreciated the grace for our comp. Of course we'll actively promote the same respect within our kite community for windsurfing. Sincerely hope you all get a good ride in and we can all say we enjoyed the day.
Cheers,
Jordan

i think the kite association need to work out which break in future competitions they are holding their comp at!
they cant monopolise the two best spots when its 2 ft and over, its either 3poles or seaford because me and a few other concerned individuals were a bit p-off that once again they waited for possibly best swell this winter and declared a no windsurfing zone.
i have no beef with kiters--except the ones who have no idea--and this post isnt meant to to be devisive or inflame but next year when the kite association picks the eyes out of wind and swell in winter me and other concerned individuals will be sailing the break next door.!!
It's one day a year! I was on it early and had some of the best waves I have had on the mid in ages! If you werent happy with sailing u turns or triggs today then your very hard to please! I personally think that today was good and everyone looked out for each other which is how it should be. It was very spectacular to watch with 20 kiters and 20 windsurfers all out!
Yeah, today was a pretty good day. Everyone was stoked!
Foot is very sore so it must of been good!
Back to Archie.......
There was also a shortboard comp on at seaford yesterday morning that was still running at 1130- was some pretty nice set waves and some sweet sections where everyone was sailing - saw smithy and the crew get some crackers at triggs. Seems like we we were all winners - the kiters ran there comp we got good wind and waves and the shorties got there comp in. Were planning 2 wavesailing expression sessions in next 8 weeks and if we can get enough interest another state titles (hopefully at day st) we maybe looking for them to return the favour
Russ, We have had wind the last 4 weekends, planning for the next 8 weeks? Hope we get some wind or might be too late?
On behalf of SAKSA and all the kiting competitors on Sunday we would just like to thanks everyone for staying clear of the comp zone and allowing us to run our comp. We understand given the great conditions on offer that this was a big ask but appreciate your support and understanding. SAKSA will actively promote the same courtesy within the kiting community for any upcoming WindsurfingSA events.
Thanks again
