I have a bit of a dilemma... Heading to Goolwa for the Xmas break but will only be able to get 1 board in.
So here's the question... Do I bring the light wind wave board or the high wind machine (20 knots solid to get going)
Sadly no speed or slalom gear in the quiver and I prefer waves/ocean sailing ?

As a general rule, what conditions can we expect over the chrissy period (wind and swell) ?

G'day Kev,
Bring your light wind wave board, I have an old JP 84L wave board you can borrow.

kev wind predominatley from the south aprox. 20 knts in the afternoon, makes the surf beaches on shore. you can sail on the lake in goolwa or at Victor harbour you may get a small wave. also you may get a chance of a n/w in the morning and be able to wave sail at Middlton, (floaty board)these are mainly winter winds. good luck

sail at Kent Reserve, Victor Harbour in anything South,

Also, if you are a board short, we have a few you can borrow, look us all up when you get in!

Thanks for the heads up, and for the offers of small wave boards should the wind kick in.
Super keen to catch up with as many of the South Oz crew as possible.
More than happy to do some flat water stuff out front of the Aqua Cafe in Goolwa if it means being able to meet the local crew and drink a few of South Australia's finest beers !
I'll supply the first box of Coopers Green

Have been in contact with Russh and Jimbob in regards to possible wave sailing locations along the Goolwa to Victor stretch. Have sailed Kent street a couple of times and it certainly gets a thumbs up.

Looking forward to getting back down South

Kev
