The WCWC 2013 is being held on Australia Day long weekend again this year! Monday the 28th is a public holiday and this is also Tunarama weekend in Port Lincoln so the town is quite busy making it time to book your holiday.![]()

The event will be targeting Australia day Saturday 26th as the first day of expression session sailing followed up by Sunday. As previous years we have focused on the west coast (around Elliston) for the start of the event (providing the best chance of breeze) and then moved around the peninsula for the "Search". ![]()
Recommend you target a few days either side of the Aust day long weekend to make the most of the trip and the wild west, check the forecast 7 days before and make your decision on that, accomodation in Elliston should be possible to be adjusted within that time ( not a certainty though), last year many stayed at the caravan park opposite the town jetty with pool, 1st one below
Elliston Caravan Park 08 86879061 (not walking distance to pub but great facilities and better kids and group facilities)
Elliston Waterloo Bay Tourist Park 08 86879076 (walking distance to pub and bakery)
Port Lincoln is another option as it is an easy daytrip (180km oneway) and if the wind does not provide then plenty of attractions at the Tunarama or at one of many pristine beaches close by.
Have had a few regular sponsors put their hands up again which is great, will post on this shortly, as previous years all prizes are drawn randomly and presented to any windsurfer registered for the days involved.
Looking forward to seeing anyone who can make it across for the event, if you need further info please dont hesistate to call me on 0428843630 cheers Zac

Thinking of heading over Thursday morning - Friday looks like it may go SSE again - anyone else heading over around then?
Forecast looks good, it's still a few days out, but this website has been pretty accurate lately.www.windguru.cz/62292 Have organised some meat for a barbie at the Elliston caravan park (this is the one by the jetty, where most crew stayed last year) for Saturday and or Fri/Sun night depending on weather & numbers.
Go thurs Russ, you might get lucky
Will be there from Wednesday. But unfortunately it does not look like I'll have my windsurf gear together in time. But would be good to catch up and meet the crew and check out the action.
Could help in judging maybe?
