Should be happening tomorrow night according to my Calendar. First Race 6pm at Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club. Conditions as per normal by the looks of it (offshore & gusty!).
See you there!
Regards, Richard
Just when you think it can't get any better, another excellent evenings racing was had by all in 5-12 k offshore winds. Four athletes in total, including new recruits Karl and Tom on Wallys. These boys have still got their chops as proven by their pre-race demolition derby :-)
Course was triangle around the poles then a loop. Across the line it was Karl (Wally), Tim (Wally), Nick (Raceboard) and Richard (Kona) but all finished within 30 sec with some very tight tacking duels up the coast from the Pub Reef pole. Racing was quite aerobic with a lot of pumping required to hold your place.
All credit to Tim, who did a self-imposed 720 for missing a mark. A true racer and gentleman!
We have had a lot of racers turn up over the months - let's try to get them all on the water at once next fortnight for a real blast!
