So I'm at Wallaroo on the long weekend. Is north beach (staying at the caravan park) alright for Winddurfing? Or do I head to Port Hughes/ Moonta?
thanks

Shane. Give Pirrad (Steve) a ring. He is always keen to sail with people. I'll PM you his number.

Hey Shane, are you going to Pt Hughes with the windsup crew on the 24th and 25th?

Hope you get some wind this weekend!

Are there many going over for the long weekend? Thought I might try boggy!

Hey there.

I was there last Sunday (kite)& it filled in nicely at North beach at 6 ish.

At the same time some guys were at Port Hughes & were flying on poles. It certainly looked a better setup & they did not have interrupted wind coming over the silos.

Used the Warburto point weather observation point for numbers.

Flying on Poles??? is that some strange new sport ellemenophee, or are you just trying to describe something you obviously dont understand?

Bondage i meant nothing by it.

They were hammering along. Having a blast.

The Port hughes setup seemed more suited than North beach in 22- 25 knot SW , that is all.

Ive tried sailing at north beach , think it was a southerly at the time. The Large marina rock wall blocked out nearly all the wind so it was useless for windsurfing.

If its a true sw, then you might get away with it, not too sure though.

Hi Em,

That was me and BIGKYM at Port Hughes. It was a bit mushy at the start since it was very onshore, but as the wind swung around, it tidied up.

I think you would have liked it, even with the jetty looming not too far away. I'm not a kitesurfer, but I think you guys can't get up wind too well when there's too much chop ???? (ie: jumping too much). It wasn't choppy at all. Quite flat actually (compared to Semaphore) and there was a bunch of 2 foot ramp faces about 300 out that had me in orbit. If you're down there next and you want to ride with somebody, you're more than welcome to share the sharks with us

Cheer Jn1,

I had come from Moonta bay just as it had started filling in.
Saw you guys about 6 ish , but had a quick stop at North beach & shared a session with some guys there.

Lots of chop gets tiresome with the knees . Especially for your 3rd session of the day.

see you out there again soon.
