Just starting a thread for tomorrows race Saturday 23/02/13.
Briefing is at 2 pm, Race at 3 pm but might be delayed an hour or so pending wind.
Wind is looking light, but could an important race in terms of overall standings for the series.
WSA membership is available on the day (for those who aren't already members) but please get their early to sign up to give the organisers plenty of time to set courses etc.
Look like a hot one. Bring plenty of water.
See you there!
Regards, Richard
Well, it was never going to be a fast race with that forecast. N to NE all day, with the most wind in the morning. Damn hot. For the actual race, it varied from glass to the odd planing patch and shifty wind. Very tricky, and fun (at least for me :-) ) because it was challenging. Like Bikram Yoga is (allegedly!) fun. At one point I had to revive the long forgotten the art of pumping dead downwind. Now there is a core workout if I have ever seen one. For the last lap I was planing nicely at times with a bit of pumping. Sam was looking threatening if the wind held in for another 10 min. A victory for the centreboard in the Kona at end of the day.
Boggy Lake has a "hows the serenity" thing going when the wind drops and sun is low.
Thanks to Michele for lap counting and Gareth for the bevo's

Still wide open pending the outcome/conditions of the last race!
